This piece of computer generated artwork pays homage to an ancient Giant Sequoia tree, showing evolution over centuries through an animated and interactive form.

Based upon historical conditions of the surrounding forest, including water supply and fires, the artwork makes smart choices about the thickness, shade, and spacing of each ring.
